Finding out you have cancer can be a confusing and worrying experience.
You may need time to think about it and that’s okay. This page is to give you a list of places you can contact for support during this process.
Remember your GP, Nurse Practitioner and the rest of the practice team are here to support you.
Cancer is a serious illness but there are many treatments, health care people and groups which can help you.
As you are taking time to think about your diagnosis it may help to write down questions you want to ask.
Macmillan Cancer Support
Macmillan offer information about all types of cancer, including diagnosis, treatments and drugs, as well as advice to help with the different ways cancer may impact your life.

Macmillan produces a range of information in languages other than English. They also offer an interpreter service on their Macmillan Support Line. Braille Email cancerinformationteam@macmillan.org.uk if you need cancer information in Braille.
