Our Practice has an active patient participation group.
The patient participation group are a group of our patients who are interested in being involved in the issues that affect patient care and are keen to suggest ideas and provide feedback regarding our Practice and the services we provide. Being a member of the patient participation group means that you will be asked to complete occasional online surveys and you will also be contacted from time to time to ask for your views on a variety of Practice issues and developments.
In addition, if you would also like the opportunity to discuss your ideas and suggestions in person, we will be holding quarterly patient participation group meetings at the practice with the Practice Manager and/or GP’s. However the level of your involvement is entirely up to you and any participation is greatly appreciated!
We currently have approximately 26 members in our patient participation group and we would love to increase our membership numbers; particularly within the age 20 to 45 demographic as that group is currently under-represented.
To become part of the patient participation group what do you have to do?
You must be a registered patient at the practice and you can register your interest by completing our online form using the link below, or contact the Practice directly on (017683) 71369. Alternatively please send a letter expressing your interest in joining the group, to the Upper Eden Medical Practice, Silver Street, Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria CA17 4RB.
We’ll add you to the patient participation group membership group and occasionally contact you to ask you for your opinion on topics such as:
- The ways you think our service could be improved
- Feedback on a particular aspect of our service or care
- Proposed changes to our procedures
- Plans for Practice development
