*Access to appointments*
Face-to-face appointments are still available to all patients, where they are deemed by the Clinician to be safe and necessary for your care. However you may be asked to discuss your conditions over the phone or online first, so that the Clinician can assess what would be most appropriate for you.
In addition to face-to-face consultations, we are also offering consultations online via the link on our homepage, video consultations & telephone consultations. This can be a convenient and flexible way to receive healthcare; however if you still need to see a GP or healthcare professional in person then this will be arranged for you.
Please do not attend the practice for an appointment unless you have been asked to do so.
Urgent Same Day Appointments
Our on the day urgent appointment system allows you to speak to a Doctor or Nurse on the day you have a health care need. Following your telephone consultation, the Doctor or Nurse will arrange for you to come to the surgery if they feel that you need to be seen.
Please Note: For urgent, same day appointments, you must call the surgery before 10.30am. If you call after this time, you will not be offered a call back the same day, unless it is an emergency. For urgent, same day appointments you will also not be able to specify which Doctor or Nurse that you see.
If you are unable to attend
Please also note that if you arrive late for any appointment, by 10 minutes pr more, you will be asked to re-appoint. Failure to arrive on time causes clinicians to run behind and results in other patients having to wait for longer, which is not acceptable.
If you are unable to attend your appointment, please ensure that you let us know in advance, by calling our Reception team on 017683 71369 or by replying to your appointment confirmation text message with the word 'Cancel'. This ensures that your appointment can be offered to someone else and that valuable NHS resources are not wasted.
School Letters of Absence
Please note that it is not a GPs responsibility to issue school letters of absence for your children. Government guidance (www.gov.uk/government/news/schools-and-colleges-to-reopen-in-full-in-september) is that school attendance is mandatory unless your child is self-isolating, has symptoms of COVID-19 or is close to someone who has COVID-19.
However, please note that parents/guardians should still contact the practice on 017683 71369 if their child is ill.
