Patients no longer required to wear face masks in GP practices Posted on 8 Jun 2022

In accordance with the latest guidance from NHS England we have been advised that patients are no longer required to wear a face mask/covering in GP Practices.

Therefore effective from 9th June, when you visit the practice, the following guidance will apply:

  • Patients with respiratory symptoms who are required to attend for emergency treatment should continue to wear a face mask/covering, if tolerated.
  • All other patients are not required to wear a face mask unless this is a personal preference.
  • Hand sanitising will still be required.
