We are currently receiving multiple calls daily from patients enquiring when they can have their Covid-19 vaccination. Please be aware that we have no control over the priority of the vaccinations. The priority groups are set by the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) and the practice has no powers of discretion with this.
Eligible patient cohorts are currently being invited for their vaccinations in accordance with the priority group list. Vaccinations are taking place at Penrith Hospital, Bridge Lane, Penrith CA11 8HX.
The priority groups can be viewed via the North Cumbria CCG website here: https://northcumbriaccg.nhs.uk/covidvaccine. The website also contains other useful information and resources regarding the vaccination programme.
Therefore we would politely request that you do not contact the practice to enquire about the Covid vaccination as it is very important that we keep telephone lines open for patients needing medical assistance.
We will update the Coronavirus Support page of our website here: https://www.upperedenmedicalpractice.co.uk/pages/Coronavirus-Support, whenever we have any further information or updates regarding the vaccination programme.
Additional updates can also be found on the Eden Primary Care Network Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/TeamEdenPCN

Cumbria Coronavirus Support Line
Cumbria County Council has now restarted the Cumbria Coronavirus Support Line: 0800 783 1966
This was originally set up to support people in shielding group, but became much broader. It is now also supporting the Test and Trace service, people asked to self-isolate, people with financial problems and people who want to find mental health support.
The support line is currently operating Monday – Friday.
There’s also information on the Cumbria County Council webpage on many of these topics if people prefer to browse online rather than make a phone call: https://cumbria.gov.uk/
